Dental Veneers
Veneers are a versatile treatment used to correct crowding in the mouth, cover broken teeth, badly stained teeth, reshape teeth or correct gaps between your teeth and also addressing abrasion/wear issues.
Veneers are wafer thin, custom made shells of tooth-coloured materials designed to cover the front surface of teeth to improve your appearance. These shells are bonded to the fronts of the teeth in order to change their colour, shape, size or length.
How long do they last?
Veneers generally last between 5-10 years.* After this time we would need to replace them for you.
Do veneers require special care?
Veneers do not require any special care; however care should be taken when eating hard, brittle foods in order to reduce the chances of fractures developing.
Follow good oral hygiene practices, including brushing, flossing and also going for your dental checks up every 6 months.

Dental Onlays and Inlays
Onlays/Inlays are restorations used to repair teeth with mild to moderate decay or cracked and fractured teeth that are not sufficiently damaged to justify the use of a crown.
An inlay is very much the same as a tooth filling, consisting of a solid substance such as gold or porcelain fitted to a cavity in a tooth and cemented into place.
An onlay is the same as an inlay, except that it incorporates a replacement for a tooth cusp by covering the area where the missing cusp would be.

Dental Crowns
A dental crown is a tooth shaped “cap” that is placed over a natural tooth to cover the tooth to restore its shape and size /strength and also to improve its appearance.
The crown fully encases the entire visible portion of the tooth that lies at and above the gum line to give a normal, natural look.
How long do crowns last?
The life span of a crown depends on the amount of “wear and tear” the crown is exposed to and also on your oral hygiene practices.
On average, they should last between 5 and 15 years.*

Dental Bridges
Dental bridges are prostheses used to replace missing teeth or to fill a gap between two or more teeth, using tooth shaped replacements.
They are attached to the natural teeth or implants that surround this space. The natural teeth or implants which support the bridge are called abutments. Depending on the type of bridge, natural abutment teeth may be reduced in size to accommodate the bridge to fit over them.
An impression will be taken of the abutment tooth or implant and space to provide a mould to create the bridge. Using this, the bridge is then fabricated in a dental laboratory.
How long do bridges last?
Dental bridges can last 5 to 15 years* and sometimes longer depending on your oral hygiene and regular checkups. A fixed bridge can last over 10 years.

Teeth Whitening
Teeth whitening or teeth bleaching is the whitening or lighting of a single tooth or of multiple teeth through the application of chemical agents.
Teeth whitening treatments are a commonly requested cosmetic dentistry procedure at Airesthetics. Our dental specialists are highly proficient and qualified to perform in-office teeth whitening to give you a whiter and brighter smile.
Before the treatment, we will perform a comprehensive examination: full health and dental history (including allergies and sensitivities), observe hard and soft tissues, placement and conditions of restorations, and sometimes x-rays.
We use whitening shade guides to measure tooth color. These shades determine the effectiveness of the whitening procedure, which may vary from two to seven shades.
How long do the effects last?
The effects of teeth whitening can last for several months, but may vary depending on your lifestyle, diet and oral hygiene.
Consuming tooth staining foods or drinks such as coffee, that have a strong colour, may compromise effectiveness of the treatment.
